About us

Chiquita Maquinita (Spanish for Little Arcade) is a open screen event for Chicago’s visual story tellers: short films and video content. Through submissions, we project short films/videos on a large canvas screen in front of an audience. Films/videos from artists all over Chicago. That could be you.

Our mission is to create, and put a face to a community of visual storytellers, in hopes that we not only meet each other, but potentially collaborate in the future. It’s not just an entertaining night of magic, it is a networking tool. Come check out new talent, follow each other’s social media handles, and support each other. Here in Chicago. Not in Hollywood.
